The Emanagers Total Index gained 1.59% in October, 3.9% YTD

| Emerging manager hedge funds had a positive month in October 2013, according to an estimation based on the data of 169 funds listed in Opalesque Solutions' Emanagers database. The Emanagers Total Index was up 1.59% that month, resulting in a year to date performance of 3.9%. The figure for September was adjusted to 0.99% (from 1.3%).
The Emanagers Hedge Fund Index gained 1.81% (7% YTD), and the Emanagers CTA Index was up 1.29% (-1.65% YTD). Meanwhile, the Eurekahedge Hedge Fund Index went up 1.59% in October (6% YTD) and the Newedge CTA Index returned 2.21% (-1.49% YTD). The MSCI World Index was up 3.94% (gross) and up 21.56% YTD, and the S&P500 gained 4.46% and was up 23.16% YTD.
